QT1524 is designed to install the shift rail seals on transfer cases that have had the shift rails removed as part of complete transfer case rebuild. Can you replace the shaft rail seals without disassembly? It is possible, but the success rate is quite low for a number of reasons, so I do not recommend the practice as it is usually a waste of time AND there is a good chance of damaging the rails or case when removing the old seals.
