QT1161 Seal Installer Thrust Plate for Dana 44 Front Axles

QT1161 Seal Installer Thrust Plate for 1955-2006 Dana 44 Front Axles is used with QT1165 Press Screw and the correct Seal Installer for your axle to install the inner axle shaft oil seals in 1955-2006 Dana 44 4x4 solid beam front axles without vacuum controlled Central Axle Disconnect. Applications include Chevy/GMC 1960-1980, Dodge 1957-1984, Ford 1959-1979, IHC 1955-1980, and Jeep J-Series 1962-1991, and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2003-2006. Made in U.S.A. by Us Here in Montana.

Tech Note 1: Must be Removed
Your brakes, wheel hubs, axle shafts, and differential must be removed from the housing to replace the axle shaft seals.

Tech Note 2: Fits
Thrust Plate fits against Differential Bore Face when pressing in opposite axle seal. (Thrust Plate has 5/8" ID center hole.)
